My game is not working on Windows 10. How can I fix it?

Fresh Installation for Windows 10
The first thing to try is a fresh installation of the game you want to play on your new Windows 10 operating system. This can be accomplished through the following steps:
1) Remove the game. You can remove a game by choosing 'Software' in your Control Panel. You will see the game displayed in the list of programs. Select it and click 'Remove'.
2) Download the game from www.zylom.com and install it again. If you bought the game the fastest way to download it again is via 'My Account' at the top right hand side of your window. On the following page you see a list of your purchased games. Just click on the game you wish to re-install and select 'Download'. Should you miss a game in this list, you may have bought it with a different e-mail and/or player account. Please contact our Customer Support team with those details and we will be able link your game to the correct account.
3) You can also download the game again from our games list.

Compatibility Mode
If the fresh installation didn't solve the problem, try changing the compatibility mode:
1) Click the Windows Logo button at the bottom left-hand side of your screen.
2) Click 'All programs'.
3) Scroll down to the 'Zylom' folder.
4) Click on it and you should see the game. Click on the game with the right mouse button and then click 'Properties'.
5) Click the 'Compatibility' tab.
6) Set a tick in the 'Reduced color mode' box (the box below it should now show 16-bit (65536) color) and click 'Apply'.
7) Now start the game again.

If this did not work, then please try the following:
1) Click the Windows Logo button at the bottom left-hand side of your screen.
2) Click 'All programs'.
3) Scroll down to the 'Zylom' folder.
4) Click on it and you should see the game. Click on the game with the right mouse button and then click 'Properties'. Click the 'Compatibility' tab.
5) Under Compatibility mode set a tick in the box next to 'Run this program in compatibility mode for: Windows 7'.
Should this not improve the game, please contact our Customer Support team.

  • 3. My game is not working properly on Windows 10, the game is constantly flickering. How do I solve this?
If your game is flickering on Windows 10, you need to change the screen size from Fullscreen to Window mode. Unfortunately, it's not possible to fix this issue in Fullscreen mode. This is because we are dependent on external game developers, who can't always fix their games for newer Operating Systems, such as Windows 10. You can change the screen size in-game by choosing Window mode in the Options menu. Alternatively you can press both the 'Alt+Enter' key during the game.

    4. I get a blank screen and/or my game suddenly stops working.
This is usually in relation to screen resolution settings and in some cases (particularly with older games), you can simply adjust these settings to get the game working correctly as follows:
  • Right click on the game icon, choose 'Properties'.
  • Then go to the 'Compatibility' tab, scroll down and check the box of 'Run in 640 x 480 screen resolution'.
  • Click on 'Apply' and try to play the game again.
