Word Slinger

Great game!

The online version is merely a sampler for the full size REAL Word Slinger. I downloaded the DeLuxe version for at home, and I'm totally hooked!. The board is much bigger, and you can choose to play it full screen and with or without background music, a right mouse click rotates your word (instead of having to hit the spacebar). I only play the online version during my lunch hour at work, and compared to the real thing, it can be very frustrating!

The board is too small and the words supplied too long. The programme deliberately gives you words with difficult letters right after you make your move. It's like playing against a cheating opponent who's already privy to the hidden words. There should be fewer long words and many more shorter ones to enable more compound words. Also, too many words ending with an 's' following double consonants. This makes it nearly impossible to align long words, as you rarely gets words with 3 consecutive vowels. Very frustrating.
