The guide contains gameplay instructions along with tips and tricks and hints to help players solve the mini-games or hidden object puzzles to rescue the four missing animals.<\/p>\n<p>Toggle back and forth among the sections of the gameplay guide to clear scenes and keep gameplay moving when unable to solve the puzzles. In the Main Menu the player is able to customize the game and save her progress by adding or deleting players. The settings enhance the gameplay experience by permitting the player to modify or change screen, music, cursor and sound settings accessed through the Options button. Other games by the developer can also be accessed through this screen including a Special Collector\u2019s Edition of the game.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"title\"><a id=\"anchor2\" name=\"anchor2\"><\/a>General Tips &amp; Tricks<\/h2>\n<p>The objective of the game is to rescue four animals by solving games and puzzles. Some guidelines apply to all chapters. The most notable are highlighted below.<\/p>\n<p>Puzzles or mini-games may be skipped once the skip button recharges.<\/p>\n<p>There are two points during gameplay where the player receives the\u00a0<strong>Invisibility Potion<\/strong>, this potion permits the player to clear scenes incognito or invisible. Without the <strong>Invisibility Potion<\/strong>\u00a0the gameplay locks. Play can only continue with possession of the <strong>Invisibility Potion<\/strong>\u00a0in the player\u2019s inventory.<\/p>\n<p>Items collected are placed in the Inventory section. Keep tabs on the collected items for use to uncover or access other items.<\/p>\n<p>A\u00a0<strong>Diary<\/strong>, is included to collect notes and to serve as a reference guide during gameplay.<\/p>\n<p>Hidden Object Scenes are found wherever sparkles appear in a scene.<\/p>\n<p>Each of the six sections contain a rechargeable Hint button that provides guidance on clearing the scene or solving the puzzle.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"title\"><a id=\"anchor3\" name=\"anchor3\"><\/a>Spirits of Mystery &#8211; The Dark Minotaur Walkthrough<\/h2>\n<h3 class=\"title\"><a id=\"anchor4\" name=\"anchor4\"><\/a>SECTION 1: THE ZOO<\/h3>\n<p>After speaking with the nanny, examine the base of the angel statue to collect the\u00a0<strong>Crest<\/strong>. Examine the picture and place the\u00a0<strong>Crest<\/strong>, in the nook. Collect the\u00a0<strong>Blue Drop<\/strong>. Examine the fruit bowl and collect the\u00a0<strong>Banana<\/strong>. Examine the picture frame and collect the\u00a0<strong>Aquamarine Drop<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Collect the\u00a0<strong>Red Drop<\/strong>\u00a0from the cat on the bed. Examine the chest and place the <strong>Aquamarine Drop<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Red Drop<\/strong>, and the\u00a0<strong>Blue Drop<\/strong>, into the slots. Collect the\u00a0<strong>Diary<\/strong>, and open and close it. Collect the\u00a0<strong>Nail Scissors<\/strong>\u00a0and the\u00a0<strong>Shell<\/strong>. TIP: Collect the\u00a0<strong>Air Symbol<\/strong>\u00a0by removing three roots, touching the moon, touching the sun four times, and touching the cloud. To exit, go left.<\/p>\n<p>Collect the\u00a0<strong>Pruners<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>1\/3 Fish<\/strong>\u00a0and cross the bridge. Examine the rocks and collect the <strong>Pickax<\/strong>. Use the\u00a0<strong>Pickax<\/strong>\u00a0on the glimmering rock.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mini-Puzzle 2:<\/strong>\u00a0Using the\u00a0<strong>Trumpet<\/strong>\u00a0on the dwarves starts the second mini-puzzle. Use the <strong>Pruners<\/strong>\u00a0on the roses and collect\u00a0<strong>2\/3 Fish<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Crystal<\/strong>. Go through right archway.<\/p>\n<p>Examine the large castle and place the\u00a0<strong>Crystal<\/strong>\u00a0in the stand. Turn on the lights by selecting lights in order. Collect the\u00a0<strong>Fire Symbol<\/strong>. Examine the waterfall and give\u00a0<strong>Net<\/strong>\u00a0to the statue and collect the\u00a0<strong>Bell Hammer<\/strong>. Return to the temple. Use the\u00a0<strong>Bowl<\/strong>\u00a0in the soil of the potted plant.<\/p>\n<p><em>Mini-Puzzle 3:<\/em>\u00a0Using the\u00a0<strong>Bell Hammer<\/strong>\u00a0activates the third mini-puzzle. When complete, collect the\u00a0<strong>Water Symbol<\/strong>\u00a0and walk down.<\/p>\n<p>Examine the bowl and place the\u00a0<strong>Air Symbol<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Earth Symbol<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Fire Symbol<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Water Symbol<\/strong>\u00a0in the grooves to activate the fifth mini-puzzle.<\/p>\n<p><em>Mini-Puzzle 5:<\/em>\u00a0The object of the puzzle is to rotate the rings until they are displayed in the correct order. When finished solving the puzzle, collect the\u00a0<strong>Amulet<\/strong>. Give the <strong>Handkerchief<\/strong>\u00a0with Initials and\u00a0<strong>Medallion<\/strong>\u00a0to the nanny.<\/p>\n<p>To exit the section, go through the gate.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"title\"><a id=\"anchor5\" name=\"anchor5\"><\/a>SECTION 2: THE VILLAGE<\/h3>\n<p>Please note that Hidden Object Puzzles or HOPs are accessed wherever sparkles are present. When a scene is entered scroll cursor over scene to notice the sparkles. Click on the sparkles to access the HOP.<\/p>\n<p>HOP 1: Collect the items listed below to clear the scene. Unlock the gate by obtaining the <strong>Key<\/strong>\u00a0found inside the barrel. Use the\u00a0<strong>Hammer<\/strong>\u00a0to obtain the spyglass to help look inside the barrel for the\u00a0<strong>Key<\/strong>. Collect the\u00a0<strong>Dragon Head<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Examine the gate. Collect the\u00a0<strong>Shaft, Scarf,\u00a0Bamboo<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Well Crank<\/strong>. Go to the shop.<\/p>\n<p>Collect the\u00a0<strong>Bag of Luminous Fungi Spores<\/strong>\u00a0at the shelf. Placing the\u00a0<strong>Dragon Head<\/strong>\u00a0on the box begins the next HOP.<\/p>\n<p><em>Hop 2:<\/em>\u00a0Clear the scene by touching the sphere to use or place objects in the scene. Collect the\u00a0<strong>Seal<\/strong>\u00a0when finished clearing the scene.<\/p>\n<p>Open the scroll by placing the\u00a0<strong>Seal<\/strong>\u00a0on the scroll at the shelf. The player receives an the first of two\u00a0<strong>Invisibility Potions<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><em>TIP:<\/em>\u00a0As long as there is potion in the bottle, the\u00a0<strong>Invisibility Potion<\/strong>\u00a0keeps the player invisible.<\/p>\n<p><em>HINT:<\/em>\u00a0Player can only pass through the gate and continue to play if she has collected the <strong>Invisibility Potion<\/strong>\u00a0in her Inventory.<\/p>\n<p>Collect the\u00a0<strong>Firewood<\/strong>\u00a0at the well and\u00a0<strong>Pliers<\/strong>\u00a0at the window sill.<\/p>\n<p>To collect the\u00a0<strong>Chain<\/strong>, remove the\u00a0<strong>Nail<\/strong>\u00a0with the\u00a0<strong>Pliers<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>At the well obtain the bucket by placing the\u00a0<strong>Shaft<\/strong>\u00a0on the well; the\u00a0<strong>Well Crank<\/strong>\u00a0on the <strong>Shaft<\/strong>; and the\u00a0<strong>Chain<\/strong>\u00a0on the crank. Use the\u00a0<strong>Well Crank<\/strong>\u00a0to pull up the bucket. Collect\u00a0<strong>1\/3 Candle Wax<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>At the pyramid, cut the glass with the\u00a0<strong>Glass Cutter<\/strong>\u00a0and collect the\u00a0<strong>Magic Fertilizer<\/strong>. Go outside by the well.<\/p>\n<p>Use the\u00a0<strong>Magic Fertilizer<\/strong>\u00a0on the bucket and collect the\u00a0<strong>Bucket With Fertilizer<\/strong>\u00a0to use at the wall on the ivy.<\/p>\n<p><em>Mini-Puzzle 1:<\/em>\u00a0Examining the chest begins a puzzle. CHEATS: Rotate rings until an image is formed. Sometimes when a ring is rotated it affects the direction of the ring beside it. Secure the\u00a0<strong>Chair Leg<\/strong>\u00a0with\u00a0<strong>Tape<\/strong>\u00a0and collect the\u00a0<strong>3\/3 Candle<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Examine the snake. Place the\u00a0<strong>Firewood<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Snake Eye<\/strong>\u00a0inside the snake\u2019s mouth and socket. Place\u00a0<strong>3\u00a0Candle\u00a0Waxes<\/strong>\u00a0in the ladle. Place the\u00a0<strong>Piece of Yarn<\/strong>\u00a0in the box and touch the box twice. Exchange the\u00a0<strong>Candle<\/strong>\u00a0in the fire to collect the Lit\u00a0<strong>Candle<\/strong>\u00a0to place in the lamp. To reveal the code on the\u00a0<strong>Book Page<\/strong>, hold the\u00a0<strong>Book<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Page<\/strong>\u00a0over the flame. Exit through the door.<\/p>\n<p>Go through the left door by placing the\u00a0<strong>Key<\/strong>\u00a0To Room 8 in the lock. Collect the\u00a0<strong>Lock Part <\/strong>under the pillow.<\/p>\n<p>Collect a\u00a0<strong>Shield <\/strong>by opening and closing the door to find hidden items. HINT: the\u00a0<strong>Invisibility Potion<\/strong>\u00a0is all used up and the player is visible again. Isa provides a\u00a0<strong>Puzzle Part<\/strong>. To exit, access the hatch by removing the rug.<\/p>\n<p>Place the\u00a0<strong>Bag of Luminous Fungi Spores<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Volcanic Ashes <\/strong>inside the basket. Collect the <strong>Sword<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>In this section there is only one HOP to clear and one mini-puzzle to solve.<\/p>\n<p>HOP: To illuminate the scene, light the lantern with the lighter. Use the\u00a0<strong>Sword<\/strong>\u00a0to break the vase to take the lyre and collect the\u00a0<strong>Cooper Knife<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><em>Mini-Puzzle:<\/em>\u00a0Place the\u00a0<strong>Shield<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Sword<\/strong>\u00a0on the knight by the back door. HINT: position the knights in order by moving the joints.
