But besides this increasing on-screen time, the number of committed skilled female players is growing more and more every day.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong> Majority<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>And when we <span class=\"font6\">say &#8220;more <\/span><span class=\"font5\">every <\/span><span class=\"font6\">day&#8221;,<\/span><span class=\"font5\"> we mean MUCH MORE. In the<\/span><span class=\"font6\"> UK for example,<\/span><span class=\"font5\"> women represent 52% of all players. Following the trend in Latin America, specifically <\/span><span class=\"font6\">Brazil, female players already make up a staggering 52.6% of all players. The US is not far behind, with this number as high as 47%.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong> Professionals<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"font8\">It&#8217;s not just men that are serious about gaming. <\/span><span class=\"font6\">In a segment th<\/span><span class=\"font5\">at continues to<\/span><span class=\"font8\"> grow exponentially,<\/span> <span class=\"font8\">women in the world of professional gaming<\/span> <span class=\"font8\">are letting their skills do the talking, breaking down those familiar barriers and prejudices. Take the <\/span><span class=\"font7\">case of Cristina Santos, a <\/span><span class=\"font8\">Brazilian gamer who&#8217;s<\/span> <span class=\"font8\">led the &#8220;Super Street Fighter IV&#8221; world rankings, or<\/span><span class=\"font7\"> Geovana &#8220;Revy&#8221; Moda, the first <\/span><span class=\"font8\">female player<\/span><span class=\"font7\"> in the country to become a professional player in &#8220;League of Legends&#8221;. We could name many more, but this already proves that gaming is <\/span><span class=\"font8\">definitely for women, who, bit by bit, are <\/span><span class=\"font7\">achieving the long awaited gender equality.
