OK, so Unsung Heroes does something very different from other Gamehouse games and shakes up the formula and how levels work. I was surprised at first, but honestly the change is really nice. I didn't expect so much attention to detail on how things worked in ancient China, so I was pleasantly surprised. The minigames are simple and intuitive. The map and levels are a little confusing, but keep playing and they're easy to figure out after you finish Xi Nu's first set of levels. The game does a good job guiding you through the basics of how to play, and you'll want to keep playing for the story and characters, which are very well-written. It's like classic Gamehouse time management games, with a refreshing twist. I'm really enjoying it.

I really love this story. It reminds me a lot of Mulan, or Kubo, which are two of my favorite movies. You don't see a lot of games that explore ancient China and this one does it very well. You start in the present day digging up artifacts, then when you find a new one, you unlock levels from the past. Sometimes you need to replay present levels to keep unlocking artifacts, but the gameplay is relaxing so I don't mind. All the game play and mini-games in the past are historically accurate, and the animations really bring it all to life. I love Xi Niu. I played this game ALL DAY yesterday and finally finished the story this morning. Still have some treasures to find but overall this is one for the books. I really enjoyed it.
