It's not completely known when people first started playing freecell solitaire, though the popular game seems to be dating back to at least 1945. You usually start with four empty cells and four empty foundations, which is where the name freecell comes from. Underneath, you'll see cascades, usually eight, filled with seven or six cards. The goal of freecell is to move all cards to the foundation piles, starting with the aces, and ending with the kings. You can use the four empty cells to add cards that you don't need at the time. You can also move cards to and from cascades, as long as the card you're moving is one point lower and a different colour than the one you're adding it to. Are you ready to play?
